Located in the heart of Akrotiri village, this 180m2 cavehouse can host up to 4 people and includes one master twin bedroom with en suite bathroom, a spacious light and airy sitting room with a luxurious sofa that can accommodate 2 people and a large kitchen-dining room equipped with all modern household appliances and serviced by a second cozy bathroom. The sitting room also provides a discrete office area and its unique architecture is completed by the natural sunlight deriving from “parathira” (a natural window-hatch) located on the roof -an identical feature can also be found in the kitchen.
Since it is a cavehouse, the temperature is always perfect with a feeling that makes it really pleasant to live in. The settlement is furnished with elegant, modern pieces and a touch of contemporary luxury is combined with the unique architectural shape of the cave.
All rooms have access to the main yard. The common yard overlooks to an old palm tree garden surrounded by traditional plants and flowers and the upper level terrace offers you an amazing view of the sunrise, Aegean Sea, partially the caldera and the village castle. All yards are equipped with tables, chairs, and sunbeds.
The property includes a piece of land where local, organic vegetables and fruit are grown, therefore our guests are welcomed to have the unique experience of tasting first-hand many well-known products, such as tomatini, zucchini and white eggplant along with figs and grapes. Minimal and modern design, romantic atmosphere and ultimate privacy characterize this settlement, which respects the environment and follows tradition at its most.

LOCATION
Akrotiri is famous for the archaeological site of a city buried in lava, only a 5 min drive or a 15 min walk. The Venetian castle offers panoramic view of the whole island and it’s a minute walk from the residence. Various restaurants, taverns and a cozy all day coffee/snack bar along with a mini market are located in the square of Akrotiri village, 300m downhill walk. If you are interested in exploring the village, you can also walk to the Lighthouse and enjoy panoramic sunset and caldera view.
The closest bus stop is a 3 minute walk from the house, where you can get the bus to the capital city of Fira and other destinations. Since it is easier to get around the island by car or motorbike, we can book or recommend car/bike rental companies.
